The conditions of living in the countryside enable man to establish integrating farms between fish and both crops and farm animals.Man does this in a primitve manner aiming at increasing the production of the animal protein and the production of crops such as rice.
This process has been discovered from ancient times by the ancient Chinese .It was introduced to many Southeast Asian countries by Chinese immigrants to these countries )Pillay,2001
Generally , aquaculture is considered as one of the things that has been developed in the countryside and large benefits could be taken from it.Increasing its production leads to increasein the income , which ,by turn , helps to raise living standards in most world countries including Egypt.
Many fish ponds were dug and established in shallow places and lands that unfit for cultivating traditional crops ,taking into consideration preserving water sources used in traditional agriculture and for farm animals.
Using these systems of integrating farming , large quantities of fish have been produced without the need to add large amounts of water to the ponds and without any adverse effect on grain crops or farms production of meat and milk.
The advantages of integrating farming:
1-It is one of the important factors that helps to transform the rural family to a fish productive family , with good and sufficient quantities for them and for the inhabitants in some of the neighbouring cities.
2-Reducing employment , as it is a partnership between the family and employment-leased .This helps to provide manpower for working in other farm animals.
3-The remnants of chickens and ducks farms can be used as fertilization in aquaculture ponds in order to increse the fertility of the pond and thus , by turn , increase the proportion of natural food in it.
4-Dams and bridges located between the ponds are working together to increase the provision of suitable space for breading ducks.
5-Integrated farming process plays an imporant role in increasing employment and reducing unemployment as well as increasing the percentage of animal protein availble for rural family.
6-Fish ponds arise in low-land , that are not suitable for cultivation .In addition to that , it really does not have any real bad effect on crops.
7-Large benefits could be got from dams and bridges existed between ponds , through cultivating some suitable grain crops. الموضوع الأصلى من هنا: منتديات أكوازوو http://aquazoo2.com/vb/showthread.php?p=7040
8-In addition , many developing countries in Asia ,and some of them in Africa such as Madagascar , Central Africa , Zambia , and some South American countries such as Panma and Brazil have developed such systems of integrating farming in a large and expanded manner in the recent years.
Also , some Eastern European countries such as Hungary , Czech Republic and Democratic German Repulic worked to improve its production of fish and increase it .All this , with expansion of farming mixed between both fish and farm animals.
Such farms could be successful and effective if is established and managed in a
scientific way
